Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! I know its been a minute since my last post but this week we will be featuring two restaurants as a treat! This week we are craving dessert in an intimate environment and we have found it in this Orlando restaurant. Better Than Sex is the perfect place for a date night, just make sure that your date has a sweet tooth since dessert (and alcohol) is the ONLY thing they serve. This decadent hot spot is so intimate that it only seats 36 people, so reservations are STRONGLY suggested. The first time I went we had to make reservations over a week in advance. This time around I was lucky enough to get one of the 3 open spots available the same day I decided that the boyfriend and I were to have a date night.
Better Than Sex is located on Orange Ave close to Florida Hospital. Like many of the restaurants on Orange Ave be prepared to find street parking. They can be easy to miss since the outdoor seating area isnt brightly lit like other restaurants, however that's just part of the intimate ambiance. It takes a minute for your eyes to adjust to the dark, dimly candlelit room upon arrival but then you notice all the sexy details that helps elevate this setting to live up to its name. Tasteful nude photographs line the red walls and little nooks partially obstructed by curtains provide semi-private seating. My favorite favorite part was the gold ceiling.
Now i am going to apologize right off the bat for the potato quality of these pictures. As previously noted, it is very dark in there and I didn't want to ruin the ambiance for the other patrons by enabling the flash on my phone.
Another cool thing about Better Than Sex is that the menus are ipads, which makes sense due to the very dim lighting. They best part about having ipads as menus are the pictures of ALL of the desserts. The waitstaff are well versed on all desserts on the menu and drink pairings. They even take the experience further and explain what makes the dessert so naughty when they bring it out.
All of the drinks come with a "rim job" and let me tell you, it is Delicious. Just choose what you would like to drink and what you would like the rim of your glass to be dipped in (white chocolate, chocolate, caramel). Of Course the drink names fit in with the sexy atmosphere. "The Money Shot" and "Gyration" are some of my favorites.
Now onto the desserts! The dessert names are amazing to say the least, "Tongue Bath Truffle", "Missionary Crisp" and "The Morning After" are just to name a few. Since I have been lucky enough to sample a majority of their menu I will just let the pictures do the talking (more in the gallery).
The price wasn't bad honestly, im giving it $$. The boyfriend and I spent about $36 for the both of us including drinks. Hes not a dessert person but he loved the experience and the intimate setting. We both were pretty full afterwards.
If you have a big sweet tooth you will definitely be craving these naughty desserts. This date night worthy gem is a must!
